well.. yesterday at home i got bored and need some visual stimulation to entertain me...
so i watched the 2 movies that i wanted to keep for after my assignments..
firstly i watched SEPET.
i know the movie has been around for quite some time...
but i didnt catch in the movies nor the vcd/dvd...
so now dat i got hold of it.... apa lagi... tgk je lah! hehehe
and wow... the movie is good!!!
there is this one part where a chinese guy says that not all malays are lazy...
then the lead actress (malay girl)quips in and said ... Hey... what u mean by that!!!!...
.......all malays are lazy!!!
wahahahah!!! i like dat part cos its oh so true!
not trying to diss my race but... just look within yourselves... its a penyakit our race been suffering... even i am not spared to that disease... :P
anyway just watch the film to understand more.
then after dat, i wanted more!! so i watched the sequel!! titled GUBRA... or in singapore they spell it as gabra... which means kan chiong! hehehe
well the sequel is also nice... i liked it very much!! and now im just waiting to get the prequel which is titled RABUN.
anyway... Gubra is also a wonderful film to watch... kinda 2 stories in one... the first story is about a muezzin or bilal's small community that has 2 prostitutes living in it. the other is a continuity from sepet where the lead actress has already got married to a malay guy.
if u guys happen to chance upon the dvd or vcd.. grab it cos these 2 movies are nice and not the mainstream cookie cutter kind of stories that u get a lot nowadays.
