well.. happy new year to all!!
hmm previously i blogged abt my new phone...
then i was thinking of all the phones ive had before...
and decided to blog it down..
my very first phone was from Nortel. ( see below pic )
i do not know its model but its a hand me down phone...
i got it from my step dad after he bought his motorola startac (is dat the correct spelling?)
it was a damn heavy phone with 4 ringtones (jingle bells, a western-ish beep n 2 ringings)
while everyone is using phones like startac, nokia 5110, 6110 or even those rich enuff to get an 8110, i felt that having this is already enough.
after using it for a few months, my friends and i were at taka and there was this starhub roadshow... they are selling phones like hotcakes i tell ya... and dat night itself 2 of my frens bought a phone each... a nokia 3210 and a siemens phone which i forgot the model name.
i wanted to buy too but i needed permission from mom... hehehe
after much persuasion... i got myself a nokia 3210!! yippe my very own phone!!
this fone is damn popular with the kids bcos of its interchangable covers. i think bcos of this feature, nokia got popular than the rest of the other handphone brands. i still remember my old number... 98570631.. wakakakaka... oh oh and my phone cover is army camo style.. hehe..
then after using it for like 2 yrs... my ex offered to buy me a new phone... so i traded in my 3210 :(
and she topped up to get me a 3330. its the same as a 3310 but the only difference is that 3330 has an animated screensaver and something else that i forgot..
well after i got enlisted in the army... i got my next phone that i loved very much!
its the sony ericsson t300!!
the reason i loved it cos it has a colour screen and an external vga camera. ( too bad i lost the cam...). Playing games on a handphone now seems sooo nice!! hehehe. that phone served me well throughout my army life.. but i think the reason that i bought this phone is bcos everyone is getting a colour screen phone at that time... not wanting to miss out, i bought this. hehe.. and it also has wap features!! it was the first time i surfed the net using a phone! hehe...
then after ORD, and enrolled in a private school... i feel the need to get a newer phone..
a phone that has many functions...
a smartphone....
something caught my eye.... and its the siemens sx1. it was a smartphone that runs on symbian OS. i loved that phone a lot@!!!!
it has many features like radio and mp3 and camera but it has a weird keypad layout.. hehe.. i bought it at plaza singapura starhub shop for ard 200+ close to 300...but it was worth it... i remembered buying it with my late aunt.. she offered to pay the phone first for me... and after that i had dinner with my other aunt and cousins at fish and co.! yum! and of course... i showed off my new phone!! (an aunt remarked me with 'a phone is just a phone' 'for calls and messages') i think she was jealous!!! hehehehehehehe~ :P~
and i even played gameboy roms in there!!! (mario@@@ on my phone@@!!!!)
imagined after staying with starhub since poly days ( ard 1999 ) and till 2006 ( dats ard 7 yrs!!!), ive never given any perks for being loyal to them. While alot of my family and friends got 100, 200 and 500 vouchers.. i wasnt given any. i wondered why... and it sux!!!!
that is why now ive moved to singtel and hope that they have a good reward system for loyal customers...
and now... here i am... with my w850i in my hand... thinkin of all the phones i had... i became nostalgic and said to myself... wah.. i didnt know i owned dat many phones! ...what an evolution! heheh
